Muskoka Lakes Golf & C.C. is one of the premier private facilities in the Muskoka region of Ontario. We are currently accepting applications for a full-time, seasonal Apprentice Professional for the 2026 season. Muskoka Lakes is an 18 –hole, par 70 golf course designed in 1920 by Stanley Thompson, and is a Club that fosters friendships and strong traditions as a multi-generation family Club. This position offers an excellent opportunity to learn all facets of the golf industry.

Job Summary

Muskoka Lakes G&CC is seeking the services of an Apprentice Professional to join the team.

This is a great opportunity for someone looking to build their experience in the industry and to one day transition into a more senior professional role. The successful candidate will play an integral role in the golf operations by emphasizing customer service, supervising staff, fulfilling some teaching duties (junior golf), aspects of event management, inventory management and the overall flow of day to day processes at the club .

Responsibilities
  • Providing excellent customer service to members and guests
  • Supervising a staff of approximately 15 during peak season
  • Assist with Junior Golf program
  • Club fitting and repair
  • Playing golf with membership
  • Day-to-day pro shop operations including ten-time reservations, merchandising, members’ financial transactions, point of sale
  • Organization of members’ events
  • Inventory management
Qualifications
  • Pursuing entry into the PGA of Canada  
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong customer service skills
  • High level of commitment
  • Strong organizational skills and high level of attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Willingness to learn all facets of the golf industry
  • Available to work weekends and holidays
Compensation
$800-$850 gross per week (can be negotiated)
