What are the requirements for maintaining my Certification?

After gaining certification, coaches have 5 years to accumulate the required number of PD points in order to maintain their certified status.

We highly recommend all Certified Instructors and Coaches maintain their certification. However, if you do not meet the minimum PD points in five years, it will not impact your PGA of Canada membership status.

Any coaches or instructors who have certification as part of a requirement (example: Canada Summer Games, National Junior Golf Development Centres etc.) or wish to be eligible for Teacher of the Year awards will all be required to meet the minimum requirement in order to maintain their certifications.
