National Coaching Certification Program COVID-19 Updates

Update: February 9, 2022

The PGA of Canada will continue to follow the Return to Learn guidelines when determining workshop availability. The Return to Learn Guidelines are the PGA of Canadas guidelines to supporting a safe and sustainable transition to in-person delivery of NCCP workshops.

In addition to following these guidelines, The PGA of Canada will be following provincial (and facility) guidelines regarding vaccination policies for indoor gatherings.

You are encouraged to be aware of your provincial guidelines prior to registering for this workshop.

Proof of vaccination will be required in advance for those provinces or facility's where it is required.

Failure to meeting the  guidelines related to COVID-19 will result in your ineligible registration and you will be subject to the refund policy accordingly.

Update: June 1, 2021

The PGA of Canada is thrilled to announce the completion of  golfs Return To Learn guidelines, developed with adaptations and permission from the Coaching Association of Canada. These guidelines are developed  to help mitigate the exposure of COVID-19 during in-person teaching and coaching workshops.

Return to Learn Guidelines are available here and will be used on an on-going basis.

Update: February 20, 2021

While we remain optimistic that we will return to in-person delivery beginning Fall 2021, we understand there is a very real possibility that COVID-19 may affect those plans.

Our team is committed to ensuring Apprentice Professionals nationwide have an opportunity to earn “Trained” status as an Instructor of Beginner Golfers.

Out of an abundance of caution, we will proceed as planned with the first in-person offerings beginning Fall 2021, with an alternative plan in place to offer an abbreviated version of the course (e-learning format) should in-person delivery not be an option.

This decision will be announced on July 1st.

We are committed to continually reviewing the status of COVID-19 restrictions across Canada.

If certain provincial restrictions ease and we are permitted to deliver workshops sooner, we will do. Updates will be communicated through e-mail to applicable zone Apprentices and Members.
