Experienced Head Golf Professional with a demonstrated history of working in the Golf industry. Skilled in Retail and Personnel Management, Golf Instruction, Event Planning, Customer Service and Public Relations. Strong community and social services professional with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) focused in Geography from The University of Texas at San Antonio.
As the Head Professional of Kelowna Golf and Country Club my primary goal is to create an environment for our members and guests to fully enjoy and for my team members to excel in. This encompasses many behind the scenes duties that keep every minute of every day filled with tasks that shape the look and feel of the Golf Shop and the friendliness of the staff and the sense of place our members love.
A Canadian PGA member since 1993, Rob competed on the Canadian Tour from 1994 to 1997 and has received 2 National Awards from the PGA of Canada (2008 Teacher of the Year, 1999 Tex Noble Award for the highest national Class A Exam score) as well as 5 PGA of British Columbia Awards (2021 Golf Shop of the Year, 2008 Teacher of the Year, 2007 Head Professional of the Year, 2006 Golf Shop of the Year and 2003 Teacher of the Year). An instructor and coach since 1998, Rob has helped hundreds of clients and attributes his competitive background as a major factor in the success of his students. Rob is a 2 time BC Amateur Champion and Canadian Amateur Runner-Up.
