David has taught the game to all levels of golfers from beginner to professional and brings over 20 years and 25000 lessons of teaching experience to the Montreal Golf Academy.
Upon being employed as an assistant professional at a different clubs including Royal Montreal Golf Club, David moved on to the U.S. where he honed his skills by visiting, observing and learning from some of the best teachers in the game including David Leadbetter, Peter Kostis and Rick Smith to name a few. As head instructor at Penn National Golf Club and an assistant teaching professional at the PGA Village in Port Ste. Lucie, David gained invaluable knowledge in not only working with an experienced team, but in teaching a variety of formats and students from all skill levels.
He later moved back to Canada and helped develop "The Golofologist Academy" on Nuns' Island into one of the largest and most reputable golf schools in Quebec. David has been a coach to a host of top amateur and aspiring professionals both here and in the United States.
David has been named as one of Canada's top 50 golf instructors by the National Post. Recently he he resigned from his position as the Director of Instruction at Elm Ridge Country Club to youth coaching and develop the academy business. Regardless of any accolades or titles, there is nothing David prefers more than being in his element and watching a student improve.
Recent developments:
Initiated with partner Bryce Arsenault a Sport-Etude coaching program on the West Islanf of Montreal for aspiring young student-athlete golfers.
