2019 and 2011 PGA of Ontario Junior Leader of the Year
As a 30+ year member of the PGA of Canada, I have always had a strong belief in the importance of a strong and dynamic Junior Golf Program to ensure the future and viability of the great game we all love.
Having had the privilege to begin my career at The Hamilton Golf and Country Club and apprentice and learn under Gary Maue, his wife Pauline whispered in my ear on my very first day that "if you are going to make a name for yourself in the Golf Industry, it will be through Junior Golf". Those words are as clear today as they were more than 30 years ago.
I also had the privilege to apprentice under Rob McDannold and Bruce McCarroll, and they too stressed the importance of having sound Junior Programs and encouraged me to take an active role in all the programming. For that, I will always be grateful to these exemplary PGA of Canada Professionals.
I am fortunate and blessed to have this wonderful opportunity with the City of Brantford and would like to thank Mayor Davis, and Members of Council for the support for our dynamic Junior Golf Program.
