Evan McFarlane

About

Evan became a member of The PGA of Canada in 2019 after returning to his true passion, the golf industry.
Returning to the The Algonquin Resort in his hometown of St. Andrews, NB has given Evan the opportunity to jump start his career in an accelerated rate, taking over the respectful rebuild of the Junior Academy.
Volunteering in the community and developing youth in sport has always been a passion for Evan as he has coached multiple sports in the community for over a decade, as well as been a key player of developing summer camps for each respective sport.
Evans continued involvement within the community has lead to him being named the 2019 volunteer of the year at Sir James Dunn Academy where he has been part of 2 different NBIAA Basketball "FairPlay" Award winning teams during his tenure as Boys Basketball Coach.
Evan is an active member of community committees such as the Andrew Bartlett Memorial Golf Tournament and the Dwaine Williams Memorial Boxing Day Hockey Game which both annually raise money for local charities. Evan also co-hosts a local sports show which highlights community standouts, events, and interviews different sports figures on a monthly basis.
Past Golf NB Executive Board Member as the Junior and Player Development Chair (2019 - 2022)
Evan was named a finalist for PGA of Canada Atlantic Apprentice Professional of the Year in 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2023, as well as a Finalist for the PGA of Canada Warren Crosbie Award for Community Leadership in 2020.
