About
Laura is an Assistant Professional at KenWo Golf Club located in the Annapolis Valley, NS. Laura has been at KenWo in her current role since 2016 and is their first and only female professional. She grew up as a Junior player at KenWo, winning the Junior & Womens Club Championships, 7 Provincial titles and 1 National Championship. A highlight was competing for Team Canada in 2004 & 2006.
She attended Illinois State University from 2006-2010 where she completed a Bachelor of Science and competed as a Redbird golfer. During her time at ISU, Laura was fortunate to capture 3 Team Conference Titles and then compete in the NCAA championships. She thoroughly enjoyed her time competing and travelling throughout the USA.
After graduating, Laura perused a career in Sales/Marketing for six years before deciding to change paths and join the PGA in 2016. Laura became the first female Class 'A' PGA of Canada member in KenWo history and is very proud to be back working at her home golf club where she spent her junior golf days.
Laura is committed to the development of junior golf and growing the game at the club level and within the community. She co-led the following events and programs throughout the 2025 season; Swing Start, Girls Club, Junior Clinics, Lessons & Tournaments, First Tee, the Competitive Development Team, and Get Golf Ready.
Laura's ultimate goal as a PGA professional is to create a positive impact and grow the game of golf amongst all generations.
Laura now resides in Greenwich with her husband Dave and their little ones, Hudson & Lexi. In her spare time she enjoys spending quality family time and watching them enjoy their favorite activities; hockey, basketball, gymnastics, and golf.
