About

For the past 20 years, I have dedicated my career to making golf more accessible, welcoming, and enjoyable for players of all levels. My teaching philosophy is rooted in a human-first approach: listening carefully, adapting to each individual, and meeting golfers where they are. Whether I am working with a brand-new beginner, a high-handicapper, or a more advanced player, my goal is always the same, create an environment where learning is clear, encouraging, and tailored to the person in front of me.

My journey in golf began at age 16 as a junior camp counsellor, a role that sparked my passion for teaching. For five summers, from age 16 to 20, I coached junior golfers during the day while spending countless hours before and after my shifts working on my own game. That combination of teaching and personal development ultimately led me to earn my PGA of Canada professional status at age 21.

Shortly after turning pro, I spent one year at Golf Les Quatre Domaines before joining the prestigious Laval-sur-le-Lac Golf Club, where I worked for seven seasons. During that time, I was exposed to all aspects of the golf industry, pro shop operations, club fitting, teaching, and management. While I enjoyed the variety, teaching quickly became my primary focus. In the first two to three years, I balanced all roles, but for the final four to five years, I taught exclusively.

In parallel with my work at Laval-sur-le-Lac, I launched my own winter teaching academy at Golf 18 Laval, an indoor facility where I taught year-round. I eventually became the Head Teaching Professional, developing inclusive programs that allowed multiple professionals to thrive and ensuring students at every level felt welcome.

In 2021, I moved to Moncton, New Brunswick, and restarted my teaching career from scratch at Mountain Woods Golf Club. Within a year, I built a fully booked schedule and established strong momentum in the region. At that time, the club offered no junior programming; today, through the junior camps and clinics I created, I introduce over 100 young golfers to the game each year. The same is true for my ladies’ introductory clinics, where I welcome over 100 women annually into the sport, many for the very first time.

My reach has also expanded globally through online coaching on the Skillest platform, where I’ve had the privilege of teaching golfers from Canada, the United States, India, Chile, Germany, Belgium, France, and more. Connecting with students from around the world has broadened my perspective and deepened my understanding of how golfers think, learn, and move.

Throughout my 20 years in the golf industry, and 15 years as a proud PGA of Canada member, I’ve remained committed to continual learning. I have attended numerous seminars and studied the work of some of the world’s most respected instructors, including Mike Adams, Mike Malaska, Mark Blackburn, and many others. That ongoing curiosity fuels my teaching today.

Being awarded the 2025 PGA of Canada Atlantic Teacher of the Year is an honour that reflects not only my passion for instruction but also my commitment to growing the game in my community and beyond. I remain inspired every day by the opportunity to help golfers improve, gain confidence, and fall in love with the sport, just as I did all those years ago at my first junior golf camp.
