Mark Kitts is a dedicated golf professional with a passion for both playing and developing the game. After competing on the PGA Tour Canada (Canadian Tour) from 2008-2010, Mark transitioned into leadership roles within the golf industry, combining his extensive playing experience with a commitment to building strong teams and delivering exceptional golf experiences.
Before turning professional in 2008, Mark was a high-level hockey player in the Western Hockey League (WHL) before shifting his focus to golf. Between 2005 and 2008, he captured 16 amateur victories before making the jump to the professional ranks, where he has since claimed 9 professional titles.
Mark’s career has taken him through a variety of roles, each strengthening his expertise in club operations, coaching, and event management:
Club Technician – Cleveland Golf Srixon Canada (2010-2011)
Assistant Professional – Tobiano Golf Course, Kamloops, BC (2011-2013)
Associate Professional – Quilchena Golf & Country Club, Richmond, BC (2013-2018)
Head Professional – Shadow Ridge Golf Club, Kelowna, BC (2018-2024)
Now serving as the Assistant General Manager of Shadow Ridge Golf Club & Michaelbrook Golf Course for Monaghan Golf Group’s Interior Golf Courses, Mark works alongside General Manager James Presnail to oversee operations at both facilities. His leadership is focused on team development, operational excellence, and enhancing the golf experience for members and guests alike.
A Class 'A' PGA of Canada Professional, Mark has been consistently ranked among BC’s Top 100 Golf Professionals since 2013. His playing achievements include winning the PGA of BC Club Professional Championship in 2019 and 2022.
Among his most memorable golf experiences, Mark highlights playing a practice round in Bermuda with three-time Ryder Cup player Chip Beck—a moment that stands out in a career filled with high-level competition and deep connections to the game.
Mark remains passionate about the golf industry and takes pride in mentoring colleagues, fostering team success, and ensuring that every golfer who visits a Monaghan Golf Group facility enjoys an outstanding experience.
