Andrew Lovell

In leading The Toronto Golf Club’s instruction programs, Andrew is responsible for the Academy and all of its offerings. Andrew’s teaching philosophy revolves around each player being an individual case study and that each of us have things that are unique to how we play our best. Andrew joined The Toronto Golf Club team in January of 2016 after working as Director of Instruction at The Mad River Golf Club. Andrew’s passion for teaching and coaching has been with him for many years—he previously spent time as the Alpine Programs Manager at Devil’s Glen and Snow School Director at Snow Valley.
Andrew has a thirst for knowledge when it comes to understanding how to help golfers play their best. He has sought out education opportunities in all aspects of the game. He is TPI certified Level Two Golf and Junior Coach,, Mind Factor certified and has certifications with Swing Catalyst, Trackman and SAM Puttlab, along with many others. He has constantly searched for opportunities to learn from many of the best minds in golf and often brings many of them to TGC to assist the members and educate the coaches. Andrew has embraced technology as a valuable tool in the learning process. He is fluent with Trackman, Foresight, Swing Catalyst, SAM Puttlab and Bull 3D Motion Capture as tools to enhance the learning process.
Andrew is a Titleist Staff Player and a Class A member of the PGA of Canada. Currently a member of the PGA of Ontario's Board of Directors and chair of the Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Committee. He is a graduate of the Humber College Professional Golf Management Program.
Residing in Orangeville, Andrew is married to Liz Lovell, and they have two children. When not at the golf club or playing golf, Andrew enjoys skiing and fly fishing. He is a fan of most sports but tries not to miss a Tottenham Hotspur or Toronto FC game.
