The Finnish Long Drink Named Official Partner of the PGA of Canada
Acton, ON – The PGA of Canada is proud to announce a new national partnership with The Finnish Long Drink , welcoming the rapidly growing ready-to-drink beverage brand as an Official Partner of the PGA of Canada.
Born in Finland in 1952 for the Helsinki Summer Games, the Long Drink was created to quickly serve guests a refreshing cocktail unlike anything else. Named for the tall glass it was poured into, it quickly became a national icon—crisp, citrusy, and undeniably easy to enjoy.
As part of the agreement, Finnish Long Drink will play an active role in the association’s 2025 season both at the National Championship level and in a couple of team events in the Ontario Zone of the PGA. Finnish Long Drink will be a Supporting Partner for two highly anticipated PGA of Ontario events: the Pro-Pro event at Muskoka Bay Golf Club in May, and the Head Professional/Assistant Professional Championship at Islington Golf Club.
In addition to regional support, The Finnish Long Drink will have an on-site presence at three PGA National Championships held in Ontario during the summer of 2025. This will provide the brand with a unique opportunity to connect directly with PGA Professionals who manage golf operations across Canada.
“We are thrilled to welcome The Finnish Long Drink to the PGA of Canada family,” said Kevin Thistle, CEO of the PGA of Canada. “Their enthusiasm for golf, as proven by prior partnerships in the industry, such as with PGA TOUR player Rickie Fowler, and their interest in supporting our members through unique sampling experiences aligns perfectly with our mission to elevate the game and the PGA professional experience.”
"We’re thrilled to team up with the PGA of Canada. It’s a great fit—both of us value tradition, good times, and bringing people together," said John Volpe, Director of Sales, Ontario for Finnish Long Drink. "We see this as an awesome opportunity to share the refreshing taste of Finnish Long Drink with golf fans across the country, both on and off the course.”
This partnership is expected to build strong brand awareness for The Finnish Long Drink within Canada’s golf community.
