Honouring the life of Maggie Beauchemin (1951- 2025)

Honouring the life of Maggie Beauchemin (1951- 2025)

On July 26th, Maggie Beauchemin passed away.

Maggie was the wife of 43-year PGA of Canada member Bob Beauchemin. Bob was the commissioner of the Canadian Tour (now PGA Tour Americas) from 1985 to 1997 and helped elevate the Tour from pro-am events to recognized full-field 72-hole events across Canada. He’s now the Head Teaching Professional at Oakdale Golf and CC.

Maggie was instrumental in running the Canadian Tour alongside Bob, where future stars of the game cut their teeth before making it to the PGA TOUR.

She helped many professional golfers with registration, accommodation, babysitting, travel, etc, and was like a road-mother for many young players.

Originally from Australia, Maggie was instrumental in making the Canadian Tour a success. She would also help organize activities and events for the wives or girlfriends that supported the players from Canada and abroad.

Many of the players she encountered became regular players and winners on the PGA Tour, DP World Tour, Asian Tour, Australian Tour. In addition, many of the players are now PGA of Canada members.

The PGA of Canada and its 4000 + members would like to recognize Maggie's contribution to the development of professional golf in Canada.  We offer our sincere condolences to Bob and their families.
