Applications Open for the 2027 Women in Coaching Program
The Women in Coaching Program is a joint initiative by Golf Canada and the PGA of Canada that strives to achieve stronger gender balance among high-performance coaches in Canada. Now entering its seventh year, the program provides in-depth career development opportunities for women coaches working along the competitive pathway.
Jennifer Greggain, Associate Women's Coach at Golf Canada, has been involved since the inception of the program. Jennifer, who played for two years on the LPGA Tour, recently joined the PGA of Canada Podcast to discuss her journey from professional golfer to high-performance coach and talks about what the Women in Coaching Program is all about.

The goal of our application process is to identify coaches who would benefit from this advanced learning environment and who are motivated to learn from and contribute to a group of experienced peers.
Applicants should have demonstrated experience coaching athletes on the competitive pathway and a clear interest in continued growth within high-performance coaching.

- Virtual learning sessions tailored to your growth
- Individualized learning plans with expert guidance from Master Coach Developers
- Coach shadowing opportunities with top-tier professionals including Golf Canada national team coaches Salimah Mussani, Jennifer Greggain and Jennifer Ha
- Two in-person sessions bringing the group together to connect, share experiences and learn from one another, while exploring some technical and tactical aspects of coaching.
This program is for women who are interested in developing their coaching career and want to learn more about coaching and the experiences of women working in the field.
You should consider applying if you:
- Are currently coaching, even if you are in the early stages of your coaching journey.
- Have demonstrated an interest or commitment to pursuing coaching as a career.
- Are looking to build your coaching knowledge, skills and confidence.
- Want to learn from experienced coaches and other women who are pursuing coaching opportunities.
- Are interested in learning more about the opportunities and challenges that women can experience as coaches.
- Have not previously participated in the Women in Coaching Program.
