Canadian PGA Member's to Benefit from New Members Assistance Program (MAP)

The Canadian PGA leads the way in providing quality benefits to members and continues to look for innovative ways to develop, promote and support professionals in the game and business of golf. Over the past several months, the Canadian PGA has been working to develop a Member Assistance Program (MAP) as an additional benefit to members.

We are pleased to announce that the Canadian PGA has retained the services of Shepell•fgi to provide comprehensive professional counselling and support for all members and their immediate family.

"We understand that life is full of challenges both personal and professional", said Canadian PGA Executive Director Gary Bernard. "The Member Assistance Program will assist and support our members and their families work through these common challenges by providing them with a network of professional counseling services right across the country."

Shepell•fgi, a leading MAP service provider, is pleased to now offer Canadian PGA members a wide range of bilingual, completely confidential and voluntary counselling and support services. Canadian PGA professionals and their immediate family have access to MAP Services 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

MAP provides the following services to Canadian PGA members:

Counselling Services
You can access your MAP for support with a variety of personal and/or or work-related issues. This may include relationship issues, child or elder care support, addictions, emotional difficulties, life transitions, career-related concerns and financial or legal worries.

Shepell•fgi’s Master’s level, experienced counsellors provide in person counselling, as well as telephone and e-counselling to accommodate your communication preference and lifestyle.

Work/Life Services
Your MAP also offers a number of professional consultation and information services, which address a more specialized range of concerns. This range of services includes:

Your MAP is completely confidential within the limits of the law. No one, including your employer, will ever know that you have used the service unless you choose to tell them.
• Voluntary: Your participation is always voluntary and individuals must access the service on their own.
