Seated Players Only

SAND BUNKERS (applies to seated players only)

PGA of Canada Zone Staff will be required to determine if all sand bunkers on the golf course are accessible for seated players. Zone Staff will be encouraged to discuss this issue with the local golf course superintendent, and PGA of Canada Golf Professional. Usually, if you can get a machine into the sand bunker for maintenance of the sand bunker, it is accessible for a seated player in a special  golf cart.

Any sand bunkers deemed to be not accessible will be taken out of play for seated players with free relief. The PGA of Canada recommends following safety and accessibility standards by taking any questionable sand bunkers out of play for seated players as well.

FORCED CARRY OVER A PENALTY AREA OF ANY KIND INCLUDING A HAZARD, RAVINE, OR WOOD (seated players only)

A maximum forced carry over a hazard, ravine, wood, or penalty area of any kind will be 85 yards for seated players only at a PAT.

Any teeing areas with a forced carry over 85 yards will be taken out of play for seated players only and a different teeing area will be used on these holes for seated players. The course rating will be adjusted based on the teeing area used. If necessary, a new flat teeing area on the fairway will be set up for seated players to ensure the forced carry is under 85 yards.
