Job Summary

Olympic View Golf Club is recruiting a full-time Sales and Event Coordinator, for an 18-month maternity leave coverage, to build and manage our busy golf event/tournament business.

This position is part of a motivated leadership team that collaborates to make our Guests’ events fun and memorable. The successful candidate shows mastery in organizing, communicating, and problem solving.

Responsibilities

 Ensure golf events are planned, coordinated, and executed seamlessly with style from start to finish

 Identify potential sales leads, handle incoming sales inquiries, and host site tours

 Develop and enhance relationships with industry partners including golf resellers, and destination management companies to     increase event leads and revenues

 Manage annual sales plans/targets, monthly forecasts and reporting

 Drive/develop the sales plan and event lead ROI tracker

 Work with the golf and food and beverage teams to deliver exceptional Guest experiences

 Provide general administrative support

 Work cross-functionally with the General Manager, Head Professional, Food & Beverage Manager and Executive Chef.

Qualifications

CANDIDATE PROFILE

 Post-secondary education in business or relevant experience; background in golf/tourism is an asset

 2+ years of sales, marketing and/or event planning experience

 Exceptional leadership, problem solving, communication and strategic focus skills

 Self-motivated, entrepreneurial, authentic, goal oriented, loves to learn

 Passionate about the hospitality industry

 Use emotional intelligence to convey and embody Olympic View’s standard of leadership

 Agile and able to learn new systems, technology, and processes efficiently

Compensation

 Base annual salary range $45,000 to $55,000 (commensurate with experience)

 Performance bonus
