Course Description
The Coach of Developing Competitors context is designed for coaches working with athletes in the Learn to Compete and Train to Compete stages of Long-Term Player Development (LTPD).  This five-day coaching camp offers a unique, in-person learning experience where participants will learn directly from some of the nation’s leading coaching experts.

This immersive training environment is focused on helping coaches enhance their ability to develop athletes’ technical, tactical, physical, and mental skills to succeed in competitive golf. Learning will take place in a variety of settings throughout the facility, including a practical session at a nearby gym to support applied, real-world coaching development.

Throughout the week, coaches will be challenged to better prepare athletes for competition by improving performance analysis skills, designing effective training plans, and applying evidence-based coaching strategies. Upon completion, participants will be equipped with practical tools and frameworks to support athlete development and guide competitors more effectively through the competitive pathway.

Workshop Schedule

The workshop will run as a five-day coach camp, with sessions scheduled approximately 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. each day. Participants will learn directly from some of the nation’s leading coaching experts, gaining practical, high-level insights throughout the week.

A finalized agenda and daily schedule will be shared closer to the event. One module will be delivered each day, with learning taking place in various locations throughout the facility, including one day at a nearby gym as part of the program experience.

For the first time, the PGA of Canada will be hosting two Coach of Developing Workshop Camps simultaneously—one delivered in English and the other in French

Please note that this workshop includes an outdoor practical component. Participants are asked to bring their golf clubs and come prepared in appropriate golf attire each day.

The final agenda will be emailed to you prior to the workshop.
