PGA of Ontario Playing Ability Test Policy
This policy provides guidelines pertaining to applicant pace of play and playing ability. This policy has been introduced by the PGA of Ontario staff and Tournament Committee in response to applicant feedback and observation of applicant experience. The policy is designed to maintain the integrity of our Playing Ability Tests and association, and ensure participants are adequately prepared for the test. The intent is to elevate the overall experience and foster a professional and equitable environment at all PGA of Ontario PAT’s. Please be sure to review the policy before signing up for a PAT.
PLEASE NOTE: Priority will be given to PGA of Ontario verified Applicants up until the deadline, at which point if spots are remaining, they will be awarded to out-of-zone verified applicants on a first-come-first-served basis. If you are an out-of-zone applicant interested in attempting in Ontario, please contact Stacey Hewett at stacey@pgaofontario.com to be put on a wait list.

Refunds are not provided once the PAT tee sheet has been released to the players and posted on the PGA of Ontario website.*
*A refund may be provided in the following circumstances:
- If an applicant withdraws from a PAT after the tee sheet has been released, a full refund will be provided if the PGA of Ontario team finds another applicant to take the cancelling applicant’s spot. The cancelling applicant's refund will be processed once the replacement applicant has registered and paid their entry fee in full. If the cancelling applicant’s spot is NOT filled 24 hours prior to the event’s start time, a refund will not be issued.
- A full refund will be provided if an applicant withdraws from the event due to medical reasons no later than 72 hours before the start of the event. The refund will be issued once the PGA of Ontario office receives supporting medical documentation.
