This workshop has been designed for the Community Golf Coach who is, or would like to, work with children or youth and is introducing the basic skills of golf. The overall goal of this workshop is to help prepare you to be competent in the skills required by a community coach. We are confident that these two days will be a great opportunity for you to reflect on some of your current understandings of children, junior golf and the environments children want to participate in.

There will be plenty of opportunities to share your thoughts, opinions and laughter with other Community Golf Coaches during the training. Not only will we have interactive classroom discussion, but we will also put that theory into action by getting hands on practice with outdoor components.

Recognition with the Coaching Association of Canada

This workshop is a part of Golfs National Coaching Certification Program under the Community Stream. Following this workshop, the workshop roster will be added to the Coaching Association of Canada database of trained/certified coaches.

Once approved, you will receive an NCCP# (if you do not have one already) and can print off a coaching card to show your employee or parents of juniors your credentials as a coach.

Notice of Technical Component

There is a technical component to this workshop which will be conducted outdoors.

Please bring your golf clubs and dress in golf attire for both days.
