PGA Atlantic Playing Ability Test – Amherst Open Round 1
Amherst Golf Club – August 18th, 2021 (Round 1 of 2 Round Event)

 

This Playing Ability Test will be held in conjunction with the Amherst Open at the Amherst Golf Club.

 

  • You will be responsible for the PAT Fee which is for the first round.
  • You will not be included in the draw for the 2nd round unless your PAT attempt was unsuccessful and you have selected another PAT attempt by signing up for Round 2 … a separate sign-up and fee is required. 
  • If you sign up for both rounds and you are successful in Round 1, a refund will be issued for the second PAT registration (Round 2).

 

The tournament entry fee for the event has been waived and you are not eligible for prizes. You will likely be mixed in with the amateur field of the tournament.

 

In addition to registering on the PGA of Canada website, you MUST also contact Amherst by their entry deadline to enter the event and confirm that you are attempting your PAT.

 

This PGA of Canada Atlantic Playing Ability Test has a maximum of 5 available spots and will be taken on a first come first served basis. These may change based on availability therefore please sign up early.

 

Register and Pay $150.00 plus HST by August 11th, 2021.

 

Male Applicants

Male < 49 years old – course rating plus 9    
Male > 50 years old – course rating plus 11

Male <49 – Rating 70.7, 6088 Yards - Target Score = 80
Male >50 – Rating 70.7, 6088 Yards - Target Score = 82


Applicants who are successful will be sent by email the Apprentice Professional application package.  Completed packages must be submitted no later than 30 days after completing the PAT.

 

The PGA of Canada Atlantic reserves the right without notice to change/adjust the number of spots available based on time of year, weather and interest.  The PGA of Canada Atlantic reserves the right without notice to adjust the format based on time of year and weather.
