PGA of Canada Training Academy Bursary

Training Academy Bursaries Offered for Apprentice Professionals

The PGA of Canada is excited to introduce 16 bursaries for Apprentice Professionals valued at $625 each.

If selected, the $625 bursary will appear as a Training Academy credit within your PGA of Canada account.

If you are currently an Apprentice professional, we encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity. Class “A” professionals, we encourage you to make sure Apprentices at your club are aware of this bursary.

The application deadline is August 31, 2026 with winners being announced by the end of September.

Required Documents

  • Essay – 500 words about your journey and why you deserve this bursary.

  • Examples of topics may include:

    • How do you currently contribute to the game of golf in your local community?

    • What are your plans to give back to the game in the future?

    • A story of how you have overcome adversity.

      How has the game of golf shaped your character and leadership style?

    • Why you need the help financially

    • PGA of Canada Training Academy Course Plan for upcoming year

  • Letter of recommendation (maximum of 2)
