GPG&CC is seeking a dynamic individual to complete the professional team in the Golf Shop. Enthusiastic, energetic and willing to teach and learn are all qualities that we seek.

Job Summary

The Grande Prairie Golf & Country Club is seeking the services of an Assistant Professional for the 2022 season.

Responsibilities

• Active involvement in day-to-day operations of our golf shop, including management of inventories, tee sheet and guest experience
• Lead the organization of leagues and assist with club hosted events
• Assist in executing corporate and charity golf events
• Teach clinics and lessons to members and guests
• Continue the development and success of a strong Junior Golf program
• Execute creative merchandising and accurate inventory management
• Execution and enforcement of demo and rental club policies and controls
• Strong understanding of the rules of the golf and world handicap system
• Strong knowledge of equipment, apparel and a keen eye to recognize trends within the golf industry

Qualifications

• Member in good standing with the Canadian PGA
• Strong communication skills (oral, written and computer)
• Experience and understanding of running golf events and leagues
• Ability to be part of and help lead a team environment
• Background in delivering great customer service
• Experience in retail merchandising and selling
• Club fitting knowledge preferred
• Fully Vaccinated against Covid-19
• Knowledge of golf related programs; Lightspeed Golf, Golf Genius are an added benefit
• Extremely organized and possess an exceptional attention to detail.
• Willingness to learn and grow with a great organization

Compensation

• $3,500 - $4,000 per month based on 8-month season. Experience to be considered
• 90% of your lesson revenue
