Golf Course Mechanic
Creston Golf Club is an 18-hole semi-private golf course with a very active membership located in Creston, BC. This championship golf course measures 6500 yards and has hosted several provincial championship golf tournaments. Our current mechanic is retiring from the golf course after over 30 years of service. Under the direction of the Superintendent, the Mechanic keeps all golf course equipment in a safe and operable condition, maintains a clean shop and service area, and keeps accurate records of repairs and
services. The mechanic is a part of the course and grounds team and is often called on to learn or acquire new skills. This is a full time, year round position that can occasionally require overtime, or work on weekends or holidays.

- Manage a fleet of up to 40 rental carts and all turf equipment.
- Schedule and perform routine maintenance, and repairs
- Maintain detailed maintenance records
- Welding and fabrications are sometimes required

- Qualifications

- The successful applicant should have a formal education or experience in mechanics and have knowledge in diesel/gas engines, hydraulics, and electrical troubleshooting and repairs
- Must have a valid BC driver license or the ability to quickly obtain one.
- Experience and knowledge of golf course equipment is an asset
- Excellent communication (written and verbal), time management, and organization
- Welding and fabrication experience is an asset.
- Team player with a positive attitude
