Montreal’s Constant Priondolo Becomes PGA of Canada President

Montreal’s Constant Priondolo was officially made 45th president of the PGA of Canada at the association’s recent Annual General Meeting in Calgary.

A PGA of Canada member since 1992, Priondolo has sat on the PGA of Canada’s National Board of Directors since 2004, serving as the chair of the business development and membership committees. He has also served as the board’s secretary and most recently as vice-president.

Representing the PGA of Canada and the association’s 3,700 members is a dream come true,” Priondolo said. “This is definitely one of the proudest moments of my entire life.”

The 53-year-old succeeds Gregg Schubert of Calgary. Taking over for Priondolo as vice-president is Winnipeg’s Steve Wood, who spent the past two years as secretary. Mark Patterson of Elbow, Sask., becomes the new secretary.

“Constant’s passion and knowledge of the national board, along with his business approach will make him a great PGA of Canada president,” Schubert said. “The entire executive committee of Constant, Steve and Mark are dedicated to continuing the positive momentum the PGA of Canada has created over the past years.”

A Class “A” member since 1997, Priondolo was named the PGA of Quebec Merchandiser of the Year in 2010 and has been the head professional at La Vallee du Richelieu since 2009. He has also served as president of the PGA of Quebec in 2002-2003.

Before becoming a PGA of Canada professional in 1992, Priondolo played 11 seasons in the Italian Hockey League. He saw action in six World Ice Hockey Championships and was a member of the Italian Men’s Ice Hockey Team at the 1984 Winter Olympics in Sarajevo.

The PGA of Canada Board of Directors is comprised of the association’s president, vice president, secretary and zone representatives.
