Matt Gillett is an Assistant Professional at Copper Point in the East Kootenay Zone of British Columbia.
I was raised in Innisfil, Ontario where I was introduced to the game of Golf as a junior, however didn’t take a true interest in the sport until moving to the Kootenays in 2011. After working my first season at Fairmont Hot Springs Resort, I was hooked. I spent my mornings working in the kitchens, and my afternoons on the golf course at least 5 days a week! My game improved over the years aided by the coaching of local professionals, eventually turning pro myself in 2018.
Outside of the club, I enjoy playing competitively with the Kootenay Pro Tour, as well as spending time with my two kids Maia and Rowan.
