Job Summary
The Associate Golf Professional is responsible for assisting the Head Golf Professional with managing and overseeing all elements of the Club's golf-related activities resulting in an exceptional overall golf experience for Club our members and guests. He/she also provides, plans and coordinates top quality individual and group instruction to members and guests.
  • Opening and closing of the Golf shop and ensuring all other golf departments are open or closed in accordance with club policy.
  • Assists with recruitment, training, supervision and evaluation golf department staff
  • Responsible for the scheduling of shifts for golf department staff
  • Develop, plan and assists with league coordination, tournaments and special events.
  • Assists with buying, merchandising, inventory controls and promotions in the Golf shop
  • Maintains and coordinates an attractive, orderly appearance in and around the pro shop, practice facilities and other golf related areas to create a high-quality environment.
  • Plan and Provides quality private lessons and group clinics. 
  • Assists the Head Golf Professional with managing all aspects of the Golf Academy.
  • Devotes a reasonable amount of time to play golf with members of all genders and skill levels.
  • Maintains playing ability and works to stay competent in all areas of their game.
  • Knowledge of Golf Genius is an asset
  • Class “A” member of the PGA of Canada in good standing
  • Graduate of a post-secondary institution program specializing in Golf / business or a related field.
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft office
  • Extensive knowledge of JONAS or other related point of sale and reservation systems
  • Knowledge of Foresight Sports CG2 launch monitor and simulator or related product.
  • Friendly and Outgoing personality
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • $22 per hour 40 to 44 hours will be worked in a five day work week
  • A bonus will be given of $1.50 per hour worked if the applicant is in good standing on September 30th, 2022 (roughly $1500)
  • Another bonus based on performance will be given in the amount of $1000 Opportunity to make over $12K in teaching
  • PGA of Canada dues will be paid if in good standing on September 30th
  • A full set of golf clubs, ball, gloves etc.
