Highland Country Club is seeking the services of an Associate Golf Professional to join our team.

Highland Country Club is right in the heart of the city of London. We have been quietly building London’s finest member-owned private club and will be celebrating our 100th anniversary in 2022. Highland members and guests enjoy an exceptional golf, curling and social experience. We are very proud of our superbly maintained and challenging Stanley Thompson designed golf course. We recently hosted the MacKenzie Tour PGA Tour Canada Canada Life Championship from 2015 – 2019.

Job Summary
The Associate Golf Professional will assist the Head Golf Professional with all facets of the golf operation. The successful candidate will be given the opportunity to lead and coach our team in providing the best customer service to our members and guests. The successful candidate will be involved with the coordination of all golf events, merchandising, teaching, club fitting and our junior golf program.
  • Provide a high level of customer service to our members and guests
  • Supervision, Coordination Coaching and mentoring back shop staff to ensure competency of the back shop, outside services, driving range and golf cart fleet.
  • Assist in preparation and execution of all golf events including tournaments, club leagues, special events, member-guest days, junior programs, summer camps, etc.
  • Assist the Highland Junior Golf Coordinator in the managing of the Junior Golf Program.
  • Opening and closing of Pro Shop.
  • Attend and facilitate Demo Days and Fit Days.
  • Be available to conduct instruction for clinics, camps, and private lessons.
  • Be available to play golf with the members outside of your pro shop hours.
  • Receiving of golf shop inventory and merchandise display
  • Assist members with the OGIN handicap program
  • Perform any club repairs as required.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Passion to deliver the topmost level of customer service in a private club environment
  • Comfortable working in a fast paced dynamic setting
  • Knowledge of golf products and services represented in pro shop
  • Confident use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher etc…
  • Fluent in use of POS software – Jonas and Golf Genius applications is a benefit.
  • Member in good standing of the PGA of Canada
  • 3 - 5 years of work experience in the Golf Industry.
