Apprentice / Assistant Golf Professional

Sussex Golf & Curling Club is an 18-hole golf course and 4-sheet curling facility located just outside the town of Sussex in Kings County, New Brunswick, Canada. The club has hosted many National Championships in its 50 year history including the 2006 Canadian Junior Championship. There are currently 500 members of the club and continuing to grow each year.

Job Summary
Sussex Golf and Curling Club is seeking the services of an Apprentice or Assistant Golf Professional.
Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the overall day to day operations of the professional shop and outside golf services.
  • Oversee and scheduling of other pro shop and back shop staff.
  • Corporate event organization
  • Pro shop sales
  • Merchandising
  • Member and guest services
  • Teaching of private lessons and clinics
  • Junior program organization and instruction
Qualifications
  • PGA of Canada Member in good standing
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Club fitting experience
  • Friendly outgoing personality
  • Attention to detail
  • Self starter
  • Highly organized
  • Motivated sales person
  • Teaching experience

Compensation
  • $650 per week
  • 100% of Lesson Revenue
  • 100% of Clinic Revenue
  • Junior Program Compensation
  • Pro Shop Sales Commission
