Kingsville Golf Club is a magnificent 27 golf facility, with 650 members, 138 Jr. members, complete with a spacious practice range with 4 target greens, a chipping green, two bunkers, 150’ of new Tee Strike turf along with a very large grass teeing area, Flightscope launch monitor and 3 mevo + monitors for winter simulators. The actual tee line is more than adequate to enable an easy flow of range traffic and an area where the instructor can demonstrate proper swing techniques. Our goal is to enhance the learning experience of our very large and diverse membership and public players making golf accessible year-round.

Our club has a brand-new Golf Performance and Rehab Clinic on site complete with two TPI trained chiropractors, K-Vest teaching technology, adequate gym equipment, physio, massage, and personal trainer services. The candidate will work closely with the Doctors to enhance the biomechanics segment of the golf swing. This is a unique opportunity!

Job Summary

Do you have a passion for teaching and club fitting? Do you take pride in teaching your students to play their best golf? Then we want you on our team!

Kingsville Golf Club is seeking the services of a passionate and dynamic PGA of Canada Teaching Professional to join our team. The position can be full-time or full time seasonal with a base wage, commissions for numerous junior clinics and camps, junior coaching, club fitting, services, and club sales.

This is a unbelievable opportunity for substantial growth for someone who is a ‘go getter’, committed, enthusiastic, organized and wants to fully experience the joys of providing quality golf instruction and witnessing the results.

Responsibilities
  • Use professional judgment and expertise to recommend teaching and learning content and create custom lesson plans for students of varying skill levels.
  • Teach most of the lessons inclusive of private, group, junior, etc. throughout the season and on a scheduled basis ensuring peak periods are covered.
  • Recommend appropriate services for each student, including club fitting, playing lessons, short game lessons, putting instruction and other services.
  • Take an active role in promoting Kingsville golf and the game of golf in our community.
  • Participate in continuing education to enhance skills (PGA of Canada Training Academy, PGA of Canada seminars, etc.).
  • Maintain the training centre environment, equipment and technology.
  • In conjunction with our existing staff, oversee our very large Jr. Golf Program (138 Jr. Members)
  • We are an ‘Operational 36’ facility and very Jr. friendly
Qualifications
  • PGA of Canada Member in good standing
  • PGA of Specialization in Teaching and/or Coaching strongly preferred.
  • Proficient with golf technologies (video analysis, launch monitors and others).
  • Passionate, approachable, educational and encouraging.
  • Strong communications skills.
  • Desire to exceed customer expectations.
  • Custom club fitting experience is considered an asset.
Compensation
  • Guaranteed base salary. To be negotiated
  • 90-95% of lesson revenue
  • Commissions for junior camps, junior coaching, club fitting, Flightscope services, and club sales.
