The Humboldt Golf Club is seeking the services of a club professional/proshop manager. The facility is a busy public golf club within the city limits of Humboldt Saskatchewan. The operation is dynamic and growing and offers high quality course conditions and service. We have a club house with banquet area and proshop, and a large outdoor event tent. We hold numerous large events and tournaments. The operation also includes a busy 2-bay winter simulator operation, making year-round employment available with this position.

Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated individual to join our team to oversee our proshop and golf operations. The club professional/proshop manager will bring passion and knowledge for retail golf equipment and soft goods sales and merchandising, insight and experience in golf operations and service delivery.
Responsibilities

The Club Professional/Proshop Manager, reporting to the General Manager, will be responsible and accountable for all details of the proshop and golf programs including but not limited to:

  • Direct and organize all golf activities including member, corporate and charity tournaments.
  • Ordering and merchandising product for the proshop
  • Work together with other department managers to ensure important information is communicated, ensuring member and guest satisfaction at all events and on a day-to-day basis
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
  • Conduct private, semi-private, and group lessons and clinics, as well as operate a Jr. golf program
Qualifications
  • Class “A” Golf Professional with the PGA of Canada and member in good standing.
  • Has a passion, intrinsic desire, and willingness to serve. Dedicated to providing exceptional service to members and guests.
  • Highly organized, efficient and detail oriented.
  • Excellent merchandising and product knowledge skills, or willingness to learn.
  • Proven ability to supervise a golf proshop, and train operations staff, or willingness to learn.
  • Willingness to provide input on golf operations
Compensation
  • $700 - $1000/week based on experience
  • Benefit pkg. available to year-round staff
  • 95% Teaching Revenue
