Richmond Country Club is seeking a PGA of Canada Associate Golf Professional for the 2025 season. Reporting to the Head Golf Professional, this position will assist in the day-to-day operations of the Golf Shop. The Richmond Country Club has a challenging 6800-yard A.V. Macan designed golf course. With approximately 1000 members, our club is unique among the other Lower Mainland golf and athletic clubs – we are the only club to offer golf, tennis, aquatics, athletics and social programming for families and members of all ages.

The Operations:

Our 6800-yard, par 72 A.V. Macan designed course is one of BC’s premiere golf venues. Our championship level golf course is known for its tree lined fairways, well-positioned bunkers, and its signature raised, undulating greens. The variety of tees allows all levels of golfer to enjoy our well-conditioned course year-round. The golf shop is open 30-minutes before the first tee time and closes at dusk 363 days per year, which does not include Yom Kippur and Christmas Day. The golf operations is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the golf experience for the members and their guests.

The Associate Golf Professional will be a senior member of our Golf Operations team and will be challenged in all the facets of our operation. This is an ideal opportunity for any individual who desires to become a Head Golf Professional, while developing into a future leader within the industry.

Responsibilities

What are we looking for and what can you bring to the table?

The Associate Golf Professional role duties are:

  • Provide stellar and informative experiences for members and their guests.
  • Assist and oversee the daily operations of the Golf Operations Team.
  • Be actively involved in the retail operations of our Golf Pro Shop.
  • Support with all Club events as well as weekly Men’s & Ladies Days.
  • Conduct private lessons as requested.
  • Club fitting as well as minor club repair.
  • Maintain a high level of play, golfing with members of all ages and abilities.
  • Lead with inspiration and motivate their fellow team members, while being a self-motivated individual.
  • Complete other duties as requested.
Qualifications

  • A sincere passion for Golf (the People, the Business and the Game)
  • Merchandising and retail sales experience is ideal
  • Previous experience in providing exceptional customer service is required
  • High standards of organization and time efficiency in a fast-paced operation
  • A keen and continuous learner
  • Adding your unique sense of quality and work ethic
  • Ability to work independently while fostering teamwork
  • Having a positive, energetic and friendly persona
  • Problem solving and decision-making abilities
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Strong comprehension of English language; Mandarin or Cantonese is an asset

Required Membership:

  • PGA of Canada, Class A Membership
Compensation
Annual Salary Range: $45,000-$55,000
Benefits/Perks
  • 2025 PGA of Canada dues paid upon return for 2026 season: Up to $1,250 per year
  • Equipment allowance: Approximately $3,000 per year
  • Clothing allowance: $500 per year
  • Education allowance: $500 per year
  • Tournament allowance: $500 per year
  • 90% of lesson revenue; professionals are able to teach on shop time
  • Comprehensive Health Benefits Plan, including Life Insurance, AD&D, Extended Health and Dental
  • On-site free parking
  • Staff meal plan
  • Group Registered Retirement Savings Plan contribution, RCC match
  • Use of the Golf course, Tennis courts and gym (subject to off-peak hours)

  • Flexibility Required: Flexible to work weekends and holidays and during league and social golf events
