Niakwa Country Club is a private year-round golf club established in 1923 and designed by the famed Stanley Thompson. The club is located in south east Winnipeg and annually hosts 32,000+ rounds. The Gallagher indoor golf and fitness studio includes 3 Foresight hawk simulated golf bays, a state-of-the-art coaching bay equipped with a GC Quad, Swing Catalyst pressure plate and video software.

Job Summary
The position will provide the members and guests of Niakwa Country club with “best in class” service in an organized and professional manner creating a memorable experience. The successful candidate will be supported in the development of their professional career on and off the golf course. You will report to the General Manager and Head Golf Professional.
Responsibilities
  • Provide the highest level of customer service on an on-going basis in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Lead by example and be a team player at all times.
  • Communicate with colleagues, members and guests.
  • Learn, understand and operate Jonas, Tournament Software & Foresight.
  • Assist in the coordination of all member and corporate events as well as weekly league play.
  • Merchandising of apparel, equipment, and related products.
  • Perform club fittings as well as basic club repair.
  • Conducting private lessons and assisting with the Junior Program, and Member clinics & camps.
  • Actively participating in member play while maintaining a high level of playing standards.
  • Supervising and assisting the outside service staff.
  • Assist in the day to day operation of the Professional Shop.
  • Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications
  • Member in good standing with the PGA of Canada.
  • 1-3 years of experience.
  • Work effectively in a team structure in a high paced and dynamic work environment.
  • Post-secondary degree or working toward PGM college diploma.
  • Knowledge of Jonas POS, & Foresight is an asset.
  • Knowledge of club fitting, repair and equipment is an asset.
  • Merchandise & Retail experience is an asset.
  • Private lesson and junior camp instruction is an asset.
  • Exceptional playing ability is an asset.
Compensation
  • Hourly wage / Salary (commensurate with experience).
  • Year-end bonus potential.
  • 85% of lesson revenue
