PGA of Manitoba Playing Ability Test 2020 Information
Listed below are the available PGA of Manitoba Playing Ability Tests (PATs) for 2020.
Please note that PATs are open only to individuals who are registered Applicants to the PGA of Canada. Please click on the registration link and you will be redirect to the PGA of Canada website. You must register with the PGA of Canada.
Individuals interested in participating in one of the PATs below who have not yet completed an application to the PGA of Canada must first do so by visiting pgaofcanada.com/join
NEW to the Playing Ability Test for 2020
- Applicants will register centrally on pgaofcanada.com for all PAT attempts.
- The PAT will be conducted over one 18-hole round.
- Separate PAT target scores for men, women, and seniors, backed by handicap data from Golf Canada.
NEW PAT Process
Step 1 - Register online at pgaofcanada.com - The cost is $325 plus tax, which includes your 1st PAT attempt and is valid for one year from the date of the registration. After a year, you must re-register as an applicant to register for and attempt at PAT.
Step 2 - Register online at pgaofcanada.com for all PAT's - ($150 per attempt, PAT's for 2020 to be posted online by April 1)
NEW PAT Exemption Process
Step 1 - Register online at pgaofcanada.com - at $325 plus tax
Step 2 - Submit your scores for a possible PAT Exemption (click here), using the online form at pgaofcanada.com (if successful, an additional fee of $25 plus tax applies).
TARGET SCORE:
Men 49 Years of Age and Under- Course Rate + 9
Men 50 Years of Age and Over - Course Rating + 11
Women 49 Years of Age and Under - Course Rate + 13
Women 50 Years of Age and Over - Course Rating + 15
OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
- Must have completed High School or Higher
- Must complete Police Back Check
- Must be affiliated with a Golf Facility

Covid-19 Restrictions

Bunkers
No rakes are in the bunkers so please repair your footprints by using your feet.
Flag Sticks
The flag will remain in at all times – DO NOT REMOVE THE FLAG!
The golf ball must be holed.
Scoring
No exchange of scorecards between players before or after their round; final score verification should take place verbally or electronically; you will be provided with these instructions at the event.
After golf, scoring procedures will be clearly outlined and it should be clarified where to return scores and when scores are considered returned.
A final scoring area will be established using social distancing measures whereby you can check your scores and your playing partner can attest them.
You will be asked to re-read your scores to your playing partners and to our team for verification.
Drop your scorecard into the box provided when all scores are verified.
Scoring will be final once you have left the scoring station.
Caddies
Caddies will not be permitted at this event.
