The Coach of Developing Competitors (CDC) workshop is a six-day workshop designed for coaches supporting developing athletes. Any PGA of Canada member is able to attend this workshop, there are no pre-requisites or prior training required. See what fellow members themselves have to say by searching the hashtag #PGACDC.
This week long 'coach camp' has become just that - a coach camp instead of workshop. Group dinners, bowling, socials, debates, etc. all add to the great learning experience with world renowned facilitators.
Expect six days of action packed interactive sessions with a real coach camp feel to entire workshop. Put theory into practicality as every module over the week will have outdoor components included. The six modules include Developing Athletic Abilities; Analyze Technical and Tactical Performance; Performance Planning; Planning a Practice 2; Make Ethical Decisions; and Psychology of Performance.
World class facilitators includes:
Tristan Mullally - Team Canada Women’s National Amateur Team Head Coach
Derek Ingram - Team Canada Men’s National Amateur Team Head Coach
Robert Ratcliffe - Team Canada Development Squad Lead Coach
Penny Werthner - Dean of Kinesiology - University of Calgary
Jason Glass - Jason Glass Performance Lab
Liam Mucklow - PGA of Canada Head Teaching Professional
NCCP training (which includes CDC) is the only golf coaching certification program recognized by leading sport organizations like Sport Canada and the Coaching Association of Canada (CAC), and has generated interest from PGA’s and golf associations around the world.
