Warren Crosbie Named to Ontario Golf Hall of Fame

Warren Crosbie, a past PGA of Canada president, was recently named to the Ontario Golf Hall of Fame.

Crosbie will officially be inducted at a ceremony on May 2 at Wooden Sticks Golf Club in Uxbridge, Ont.

A PGA of Canada member since 1967, Crosbie served as president of the association from 2006-2008. He currently chairs the PGA of Canada Hall of Fame Committee. For 32-years he was head golf professional at Bayview Golf and Country Club.

Crosbie will enter the Ontario Golf Hall of Fame in the Builder category.

In addition, PGA of Canada Honorary Director Wayne Redshaw will be receiving the Lorne Rubenstein Media Award, presented annually to accredited members of the Ontario media.

The Ontario Golf Hall of Fame is dedicated to the recognition of extraordinary contributions and accomplishments in the game of golf in Ontario. Founded in 2000 by the Ontario Golf Association and the Ontario Ladies’ Golf Association, the Ontario Golf Hall of Fame is housed at Wooden Sticks Golf Club in Uxbridge, Ont.

The Ontario Golf Hall of Fame includes a number of past and present PGA of Canada members include Murray Tucker, Cathy Sherk, Moe Norman, Willie Lamb, George Knudson, Karl Keffer, Gordie Brydson, Al Balding, Gordan McInnis Sr., Jerry Anderson, Irv Lightstone, Bobby Gray, Ben Kern, Jimmie Johnstone, Robert Panasik, Mary Jane Hall, Dick Borthwick, Lex Robson, Lloyd Tucker, George Clifton, Mike Weir, Sam Young, Gar Hamilton, Ian Leggatt, Rod Spittle, John Henrick, Bill Kerr, Bob Breen and Ken Tarling.
