Canadian PGA Announces Live Scoring for the 2007 Titleist & FootJoy Canadian PGA Club Professional Championship

ACTON, ON (October 29, 2007) – The Canadian PGA announced today that they have reached an agreement with Golf Score Ontario to provide live online scoring for the 2007 Titleist & FootJoy Canadian PGA Club Professional Championship.

“The Canadian PGA is thrilled to add live scoring to our 2007 Club Professional Championship,” stated Jeff Dykeman, Manager of Business Development for the Canadian PGA. “This is one of the premier events in the country and now everyone can follow the scores live on our website during the tournament.”

Golf Score Ontario provides a unique, live wireless scoring system which enables golfers to enter their scores with the use of a small handheld device. The scores are then uploaded to a server and are immediately made viewable by the other groups; the big screen in the clubhouse, tournament staff, media and friends or family following along on the Canadian PGA website.

“We are very excited to be able to showcase our product at the Canadian PGA Club Professional Championship,” said Darryl Bell of Golf Score Ontario. “We know the players will love using the device and the media, family and friends in Canada will love watching the leaderboard.”

The 2007 Titleist & FootJoy Club Professional Championship will be held November 19-21st for the fourth consecutive year at The PGA Golf Club in Port St. Lucie, Florida. The CPC purse is $85,000 and the Champion will also receive an exemption into the 2008 Canadian Open to be held at Glen Abbey Golf Club in Oakville, ON. Last year’s Champion Danny King played in the 2007 Canadian Open at Angus Glen and missed the cut by a single shot.

Owned and operated by the PGA of America, The PGA Golf Club is a public facility designed by Tom Fazio with rolling hills, majestic pine trees and challenging water hazards. The course has been selected for numerous awards including the 2004 “Best Places to Play” by Golf Digest.
