Canadian PGA Announces SkyCaddie as the Official Rangefinder of the Association

ACTON, ON (October 11, 2007) – The Canadian PGA announced today that they have reached a three-year agreement with SkyCaddie to become the Official Rangefinder of the Association.

“The Canadian PGA is excited to welcome SkyCaddie as the Official Rangefinder,” stated Warren Crosbie, President of the Canadian PGA. “The SkyCaddie device has proven to speed up pace of play in both competitive and recreational golf and we are thrilled to partner with such a successful brand.”

The SkyCaddie, developed by SkyGolf, is used on over 14,000 golf courses in 45 countries around the world. Weighing less than five ounces, the SkyCaddie utilizes the same global positioning system used by the U.S. military, but in a high portable handheld device, to compute distances to any point on a golf course. SkyGolf uses professional, high-performance GPS engines, satellite-based accuracy augmentation, plus proprietary accuracy enhancements to provide golfers with the information of distances needed to play smarter and faster.

“SkyCaddie is thrilled to be partnering with the Canadian PGA and their 3,700 Golf Professionals around the country,” stated Steve Davies, President of Jancor Agencies - Canadian Distributor for SkyCaddie. “Without question, the Canadian PGA is a very important business partner and fits very well with our sales strategy of growing the green grass sales channel. We look forward to a long association with the Canadian PGA.”

As of 2007, the Canadian PGA Tournament Committee announced that Distance Measuring Devices (DMD) are permitted for use in their National Championships.

“We are pleased to partner with SkyCaddie as an Official Partner of the Canadian PGA. SkyCaddie is becoming a world leader with their current and future products and our Members will benefit both on the course and in their pro shop with this partnership,” said Jeff Dykeman, Manager of Business Development for the Canadian PGA.

To kickoff the partnership, SkyCaddie representatives will be on-site at the Titleist & FootJoy Canadian PGA Club Professional Championship at PGA Golf Club in Port St. Lucie, Florida, November 19th-21st to debut their new SG 5 device, lending a unit to all competitors for the event.
