The PGA of Canada Remembers

The PGA of Canada is deeply saddened by the passing of Lifetime Member Richard (Dick) Munn.

Munn joined the PGA of Canada in 1961 and was the recipient of the PGA of BC's highest honour, the Lifetime Achievement Award in October of 2010. He is one of only eight to receive this distinction.

Through his career, Dick spent his career at Point Grey Golf & Country Club and Cedar Hill Golf Course, but was most notable for his influence on the development of Gallagher's Canyon Golf & Country Club.

Munn was also an accomplished player. He lost to Raymond Floyd in the semi-finals of the U.S. Junior Championship and was runner-up to George Knudson at the 1968 PGA Championship of Canada

Munn passed away in his hometown of Kelowna, B.C., Wednesday morning after a courageous battle with cancer at the age of 72.
