Player Development Sessions

As part of Golf Canada's 2015 Annual General Meeting, please join us on Friday, February 13th for two interactive presentations around exciting player development initiatives being rolled out by Golf Canada in partnership with the PGA of Canada.



 

LTPD 2.0 — Trajectory
Join renowned LTPD expert Dr. Istvan Balyi along with Golf Canada's Chief Sport Officer Jeff Thompson and PGA of Canada Technical Director Glenn Cundari for the launch of LTPD 2.0 – the second iteration of the Long-Term Player Development (LTPD) Guide for Canadian golf.

Moderated by respected golf journalist John Gordon, the 90-minute session will outline:
1. The LTPD 2.0 Guide as a blueprint for research, statistics and insight into Canada's player development pathway;
2. Insights into global progresses in athlete development
3. How LTPD 2.0 can assist golf facilities & PGA of Canada professionals grow revenue & engagement through a systematic approach to player development.

CN Future Links and Community Golf Coaches
Led by PGA of Canada Technical Director Glenn Cundari, golf facilities and professionals are invited to participate in an interactive session about the new Community Golf Coach training supported by CN Future Links  – the PGA of Canada's newest coaching context.
Launched in 2014, the initiative was developed by the PGA of Canada in partnership with Golf Canada. This exciting new program is focused on providing volunteers with the training and tools to ensure they feel confident and competent to help support and actively participate in the delivery of junior golf initiatives in their respective communities.
The 90-minute session will show attendees how a Community Golf Coach can enhance their current junior program and give them an opportunity to participate sample activities from the training.
