PGA of Canada President Constant Priondolo was recently given the distinction of PGA of America Honorary Director.

The accolade was bestowed upon Priondolo at last week’s PGA of America Annual General Meeting in Indianapolis, Ind.

“The PGA of America, and our dedicated professionals, thank Constant Priondolo for his outstanding contributions to the game of golf as President of the PGA of Canada,” read Priondolo’s Honorary Director plaque.

The Montreal native became the PGA of Canada’s 45th president this past April.

A PGA of Canada member since 1992, Priondolo has sat on the PGA of Canada’s National Board of Directors since 2004, serving as the chair of the business development and membership committees. He has also served as the board’s secretary and most recently as vice-president.

A Class “A” member since 1997, Priondolo was named the PGA of Quebec Merchandiser of the Year in 2010 and has been the head professional at La Vallee du Richelieu since 2009. He has also served as president of the PGA of Quebec in 2002-2003.

Before becoming a PGA of Canada professional in 1992, Priondolo played 11 seasons in the Italian Hockey League. He saw action in six World Ice Hockey Championships and was a member of the Italian Men’s Ice Hockey Team at the 1984 Winter Olympics in Sarajevo.
