World Junior Girls Coaching Summit Invitation

World Junior Girls Coaching Summit Invitation

Golf Canada and the Golf Association of Ontario are hosting the first ever World Junior Girls Championship at Angus Glen Golf Club in Markham, Ont., Sept. 28-Oct. 1.

The PGA of Canada is very excited about supporting this special event.

Angus Glen is the host golf venue for the 2015 Pan Am Games and as a result the World Junior Girls Championship has been identified as a test-event for the 2015 games.

This will be an opportunity to observe and learn from the best international coaches in an in-the-field approach.

The details of the Coaching Summit are as follows:
Saturday, September 27th
7:15 am - 4:00 p.m. (approximately)
Angus Glen Golf Club, Markham, Ont.

Format:
PGA of Canada coaches will be given an opportunity to participate in self-directed learning. This opportunity involves using templates to observe an international head coach actively coaching during the championship practice round.

Following the on-course portion, as a group, PGA of Canada coaches will meet in a facilitated session with Team Canada Women's coach, Tristan Mullally. This one hour session gives coaches an opportunity to review the days activities, ask questions about what they observed, and discuss coaching high performing athletes.

This is an opportunity that does not present itself often and only a select number of PGA of Canada members will be accepted on a first come, first served basis.

Please confirm your attendance by emailing Mallory Dayman, Manager of Sport Development at the Golf Association of Ontario at mdayman@gao.ca. Following your confirmation of attendance more details will be forwarded.

We hope you can attend this unique opportunity.
