Women in Coaching Series

Women in Coaching Series

With a goal of building a strong network of female golf coaches across the country, the PGA of Canada’s education department is proud to announce the launch of the ‘Women in Coaching Series’ for 2014.

All female PGA of Canada members are encouraged to participate in the series, which features two Coach of New Competitors (CNC) workshops as well as the newly revitalized CN Future Links Leader workshop.

The workshops will be co-facilitated by PGA of Canada Class “A” member and Team Canada Development Squad Women’s Coach Ann Carroll, PGA of Canada Technical Director Glenn Cundari and are free to attend thanks in part to the Golf Canada Foundation Women’s Fund.

“We’re excited to have partnered with the Golf Canada Foundation Women’s Fund to impact the game of golf for women and girls by training current and future coaches, as well as volunteers,” said the PGA of Canada’s Managing Director of Education Morgan Court. “This important initiative builds and develops new leaders in coaching from within our female membership and key communities across Canada.”

The series will bring together female PGA of Canada members from across the country Canada to facilitate a stronger network of women coaches, experience professional development tailored to women coaches and create support mechanisms focused on sustaining women in the coaching culture.

The two, three-day CNC workshops take place April 28-30 in Vancouver at University Golf Club and Sept. 15-17 in Ontario at Angus Glen Golf Club.

The CN Future Links Leader workshops will be available in late summer with further details to follow.
