PGA of Canada's Morgan Court to represent Ontario at Scotties

The PGA of Canada’s Managing Director of Education will represent Ontario next month at the Scotties Tournament of Hearts.

Court was part of the winning team at the recent Ontario Scotties in Sault St. Marie, Ont.

“I couldn’t be more excited or proud to be representing Ontario at the Scotties,” Court said. “We’ve worked hard the last two years as a team and everything really came together this week.”

Court along with her teammates Allison Flaxey (skip), Katie Cottrill (third), Lynn Kreviazuk (second) had a 7-2 record through the round robin draws and was defeated by Team Hastings in the 1-2 page playoff game. However, they defeated Team Reddick in Sunday morning's semi-final draw to qualify for the final championship draw Sunday evening, where they exacted a measure of revenge besting Team Hasting 7-5.

“This is what we’ve been working for all season, and what I’ve been thinking about achieving since I was a little rock curler,” Court says. “I couldn’t be more excited to be going with this group of girls.”

Court says the support she received via text messages, phone calls and Twitter during tournament week was unbelievable.

“I’m overwhelmed with all of the messages and calls I’ve received from friends, family and PGA members,” she says. We have so many people that have been so supportive of us from work and home as we worked towards this goal.
