The PGA of Canada is pleased to announce ADAMS Golf is making a significant commitment to professional golf in Canada in becoming the presenting sponsor of the Mr. Lube PGA Seniors' Championship of Canada.

The Mr. Lube PGA Seniors' Championship of Canada presented by ADAMS Golf takes place Aug. 6-9 at Lookout Point Country Club in Fonthill, Ont., and is contested over 54 holes.

"On behalf of the PGA of Canada's national board of directors and our 3,800 members, we are thrilled ADAMS Golf has come aboard as presenting sponsoring of the Mr. Lube PGA Seniors' Championship of Canada," says PGA of Canada CEO, Gary Bernard. "ADAMS Golf is not only a great fit for our seniors' championship, but more importantly is a great fit for the PGA of Canada."

ADAMS Golf has been at the leading edge of innovation since 1987, but now as part of the TaylorMade-adidas Golf family, are poised to take an even larger step in the advancement of golf and customer service within Canada.

"While we move forward, it is important to partner with the right organizations and we are extremely happy with this newly formed relationship," said Todd Fraser, Brand Director, ADAMSGolf Canada. "The PGA of Canada and the Mr. Lube PGA Seniors' Championship of Canada provide the perfect match for us and we look forward to our first event as presenting sponsor."

In 2012, Champions Tour player Jim Rutledge of Victoria put on another record setting performance, tying his own record of 17-under par to win the PGA Seniors' Championship of Canada by 13 shots at Emerald Hills Golf Club in Stouffville, Ont.

The PGA Seniors' Championship of Canada was first played in 1938 as a division of the PGA Championship of Canada. In 1973, the Seniors' Championship became an independent event and has stayed that way ever since.

Among the Canadian golf legends to win this championship are Stan Leonard, Moe Norman, Bob Panasik and Al Balding. Norman won this championship a record seven straight years from 1979 to 1985 while Balding stunned the golf world by winning the championship at age 76 in 2000.
