Jump on board with CN Future Links

Since 1996 CN Future Links has successfully operated in more than 400 clubs across Canada. Since the beginning, the program has continued to evolve as the leading initiative in accomplishing the mission of teaching Canadian youth the fundamentals of golf.

The program aims to enrich the golfing experience of the students by using a pre-determined set of drills and lessons that have been tested and proven by PGA of Canada professionals. These are in place so the CN Future Links program can be implemented, delivered and maintained with relative ease. It is then up to the PGA of Canada professional to deliver these methods however he or she sees fit. The great thing about the drills library is it is continuously being added to, providing all PGA of Canada professionals with an even greater choice.

PGA of Canada professional can save a specific lesson plan they found to be effective and can then simply re-use the same plan with a different class in the future. Or it may be in his or her best interest to create a new, more focused plan—regardless the CN Future Links database saves these plans, so no time is lost.

Adding students to the database can take less than five minutes thanks to an Excel template that uploads mass numbers of students. Once in, they are there for good. The same method applies to the reporting section of the program. Each student’s reporting is tracked electronically in just a few clicks. Upon passing one of the seven levels, an automated email is sent to each student highlighting his or her scores and includes other valuable program information that may also be included.

CN Future Links is also ahead of the curve when it comes to merchandise. With a full inventory at the PGA of Canada professional’s disposal, creating a well-run, organized junior program has never looked better. The items available consist of hats, balls, tees, shirts, tee boxes, flagsticks and much more.

Each year, Golf Canada weighs the opinion of all the PGA of Canada professionals involved—feedback helps drive the direction of the program and ultimately how it is delivered. Essentially, the program is in place so new PGA of Canada professional can jump right in and hit the ground running.

“We put a lot of effort into perfecting the database for our instructors” said Adam Hunter, CN Future Links Program Coordinator. “Having a set, organized plan is just as important for the instructors as it is for the students”.

Ideally, CN Future Links looks to maximize efficiency from all parties involved through the program’s database, library and manuals.
