Panasik, Barr, Rutledge, Hamilton and Halldorson Confirmed

An impressive field, including 10 previous seniors’ championship winners, Canadian Golf Hall of Fame members, former PGA Tour players, and current Champions Tour and Senior European Tour members, has been confirmed for next week’s Mr. Lube PGA Seniors’ Championship of Canada presented by Cleveland Golf/Srixon.

Past winners, Dave Barr (2007); Yvan Beauchemin (2008); Adam Brown (2004); Ken Fulton (1996); Graham Gunn (2006); Gar Hamilton (2002); Hocan Olsson (2005); Bob Panasik (1997, 1998, 2001); Jim Rutledge (2010); and Doug Warner (2003) all look to add their name once again to the Albert Murray Senior Professional Golf Trophy.

Both Barr—a two-time PGA Tour winner— and Panasik—who as a 15-year old made the cut at the 1957 Canadian Open—are Canadian Golf Hall of Fame Members, while Rutledge is a current member of the Champions Tour.

“I’m very excited we have 10 past winners of this championship in the field next week at Emerald Hills Golf Club,” said Tournament Director, Adam LeBrun. “It says a lot about the prestige the championship when we not only have a great number former winners teeing it up, but also players who are regarded as some of the best golfers this country has ever produced.”

A number of talented PGA of Canada members, including Scott Allred, Benoit Boudreau, Ian Doig, Dan Halldorson, Phil Jonas, Scott Knapp, Jean Laforce, Keir Smith, Danilel Talbot and David Wettlaufer, are in search of their first Mr. Lube PGA Seniors’ Championship of Canada presented by Cleveland Golf/Srixon.

“This year’s field is extremely deep,“ LeBrun says. “There are so many great players teeing it up and I think we are in store for a fantastic championship."
