The PGA Remembers . . .

The PGA of Canada is deeply saddened by the passing of Class ‘A’ Life Member, Peter Hildrop.

Hildrop passed away on Thursday, June 7th. Beloved husband of Lorene (nee McCormack); dearly loved brother of David Hildrop and his wife Pat of Leamington and Mary Gushie and her husband Mike (predeceased) of Hamilton; dear brother-in-law of Nancy and Robert Eacrett of Sorrento, B.C., and Donald and Noranne McCormack of Sault Ste. Marie. Special Papa Petie to Cormack Eacrett. Lovingly remembered by several nieces and nephews and their extended families. Predeceased by first wife June Ortwein (1960) and second wife Maxine Ofield (1967).

For 25 years he served as head professional at Mount Hope Golf & Country Club in Mount Hope, Ont.

An informal celebration of Hildrop’s life will be held Thursday, June 21 from 2-5 p.m. at Saginaw Golf Club, 124 Saginaw Parkway (intersection of Franklin Blvd.), Cambridge. Ont., (519-620-0322). Friends and family are invited to come and share their memories. For those wishing to do so, a donation to the charity of your choice would be appreciated in lieu of flowers.
