In an attempt to ease the workload of PGA of Canada professionals, CN Future Links has developed a new mobile app that is designed with the pros in mind.

Once a site is registered with CN Future Links, they will receive a username and password that will allow access to the full website of instructor’s tools as well as the new mobile app. One username and password will work for both applications.

With your username and password in hand, point your browser to http://www.cnfuturelinks.com/mobile. This web site is a mobile friendly page that shows perfectly on any smartphone or tablet. From iPhones and iPads to Blackberry and Android devices and beyond, managing your CN Future Links programming has never been easier.

Specifically, the new app allows for pros to grade their Learn to Play progress reports on the spot from their mobile device. Instead of grading participants on paper and having to then transfer the data to the CN Future Links website, pros are now able to send their data automatically, right from the driving range or golf course.

All data posted through the mobile app, including grades and comments, are transmitted in real time. This means that by the time a child’s parent picks them up from the course, they could have the child’s results in their email inbox before they even pull into their driveway at home.

Golf Canada’s Chief Sport Development Officer Jeff Thompson was involved with the development of the application and says it was born from the feedback received from the pros themselves over the last few years.

“The growing trend these days is to offer consumers the opportunity to do everything from the palm of their hand,” Thompson said.

“Whether that be a smartphone, or a tablet, we wanted to make it easier for our CN Future Links instructors to be able to manage their events as they are taking place. After receiving feedback from our past instructors, this new mobile application will save you time as you are able to grade each of your Learn 2 Play participants directly from your phone or tablet.”

CN Future Links is still accepting registrations for the 2012 golf season. To take advantage of the new mobile app and everything the CN Future Links program has to offer, please visit http://www.cnfuturelinks.com
