Mr. Lube Tournament for Life gets Honourary Chair

Business tycoon and television star, Jim Treliving has accepted the role as Honourary Chair for this year’s Mr. Lube Tournament for Life.

The native of Virden, Man., who stars in the hit CBC shows, Dragons’ Den and the Big Decision, is also Chairman and Owner of Boston Pizza International Inc., will lend his support to the tournament that is dedicated to improving the lives of men and families facing prostate cancer.

“I have accepted the role of Honourary Chair of the tournament because I am strongly committed to helping advance the work of Prostate Cancer Canada,” Treliving says.

The tournament, which takes place on Monday, June 18 at Country Hills Golf Course in Calgary as part of PGA Championship of Canada week, will support the PGA of Canada’s national charity partner—Prostate Cancer Canada.

“Having someone like Jim Treliving come on board and lend his support to this tournament is incredibly amazing,” says PGA of Canada CEO, Gary Bernard. “His commitment and support to the tournament nationally will allow us to reach our goal.”
